Description

Who lives in the haunted house ? Is it a ghost? Or a vampire?

La question est toujours la même, « Who lives in the haunted house? », et le camarade répond « A ghost! » ou « It’s a ghost! ». On peut aussi poser la question « What is it? » pour les plus jeunes.

Contenu :

A ghost lives in the haunted house!

  • 1 fichier audio avec des questions « who lives in the haunted house? A ghost lives in the haunted house! »

IN ENGLISH

Turn Halloween vocabulary into a hands-on craft that your students can make by following the instructions!

This printable haunted house craft is a fun way to practise Halloween vocabulary in English. Students colour and cut out the pieces, then turn the wheel hidden at the back of the house. Each turn reveals a new character at the door: ghost, vampire, werewolf, witch, skeleton, mummy, zombie or jack-o’-lantern. The question is always the same, « Who lives in the haunted house? », and a student answers « A ghost! » or « It’s a ghost! » You can also ask « What is it? » for younger pupils.

What’s included:

  • 2 haunted house templates: full colour and black and white
  • 3 wheel types to match your students’ level:
    • Characters only: for speaking and listening
    • Characters and names: the written word supports recognition and reading
    • Characters with a line to write the name: for spelling and writing practice, as well as speaking
  • Each wheel comes in 3 versions: full colour, coloured characters on a white background, and all black and white
  • 2 instruction pages: one for the black and white version (with colouring in) and one for the coloured version (fewer steps)
  • 2 audio files: one with the pronunciation of each word, and one with questions and answers (« Who lives in the haunted house? A ghost lives in the haunted house! ») so children can listen, turn the wheel and show the right character at the door of the haunted house!

Both instruction pages are written in English and use an icon for every step, so your pupils can follow them without necessarily having to read, and build the craft on their own, even if they’re beginners.

Differentiation is built in: you simply choose the wheel that suits each pupil or class! The black and white versions save ink and let pupils colour their own creations. It’s a craft, a speaking game and a vocabulary revision tool all in one, and it needs almost no prep: print, cut, fold, assemble, play!

Ideal for ESL/EFL lessons, primary school classes (ages 5–12), homeschoolers, after-school clubs and any Halloween-themed activity!

Your download includes:

  • A 13-page PDF
  • 1 audio file with the pronunciation of the characters
  • 1 audio file with questions and answers: « Who lives in the haunted house? A ghost lives in the haunted house! »
